End of Week Two

So if you’re reading the ratings, then you probably already know a few things about Finisher Secrets; e.g., it’s spans 90 days (91 actually). I just finished my second week and I have a few thoughts.

• I have tried/started/attempted a number different things to help me focus at work, and accomplish specific goals with varying degrees of success. The problem with each of them was I could never carry through for the long haul. Keeping the Finisher journal in front of/with me through out the day has been helpful in a way my other attempts have not. It’s not to say I haven’t gotten distracted or off track, but it’s always there to bring me back to where I need to be.
• As soon as I got the journal and went through it the first time, I realized I needed to put some thought into what my outcome goals were going to be. So I took nearly a week to really think out my next 90 days and documented three goals and the action steps needed to accomplish them. This allowed me to really reflect on what was actually important and what wasn’t.
• This system makes you reflect. At the end of every week, you complete a weekly review of what worked and what didn’t. I use this as an opportunity to celebrate the wins towards my ultimate goals, and see what’s holding me back.
• It’s also made me realize I don’t have to live from one day to the next via email, and that it’s ok to stumble because it’s there to help remind you of what you’re working towards. There have been plenty of stumbles as I figure the system out, a little learning on the go, but the couple of days that I crushed it because I was using this to help me focus make all the stumbles worth it.

All in all, after two weeks I’m very happy I committed to purchasing this journal, and am looking forward to getting to the end of my first 90 days so I can reflect on what I accomplished above and beyond what I would have otherwise.

Easy to become organized and productive!

Not only does it help organize my mind but bring clarity to my daily goals. The whole hitting daily expectations is now more demanding of me in my new management position. For those who are ADHD like squirrels on Meth

I have used a lot of programs and journals. I’m always in search of the next best one to dial me in. Normally they either have too much or not what I need. It's part of my nighttime routine. Simple, but beats a plain to-do list. So far helping me to stay focused although I do need to up the amount of times I look at it. I like the habit tracker - and the tips regarding it (i.e. broken streaks no more than 2 days, and partial kudos for effort). Ask me again in 3 months!

Brilliant Focus
