1️⃣ No phone for the last hour of the day

I set an alarm at 9 PM to turn off my phone and charge it away from my bedroom. That’s when my willpower dips, so I stick to this strict rule every night.

2️⃣ No social media until noon

Mornings are precious for my Deep Work. I focus on my top 3 tasks of the day.

Starting the day on my terms—not just reacting to notifications or “URGENT” requests—has been transformative.

3️⃣ Grayscale mode

Grayscale mode makes my phone less attractive and less addictive by removing the colors.

4️⃣ Turning off Face ID

I use a complex manual password that’s hard to remember—I’d rather not bother typing it.

More friction means it’s easier to kick the habit.

5️⃣ Going phone-free for at least an hour daily

I spend time outdoors.

- Read a book.
- Learn a new skill.
- Enjoy moments with loved ones.

Nothing should interrupt these important times.

6️⃣ Dumbed down my phone

Every few months, I delete unneeded apps.

The dumber my phone, the smarter I become.

7️⃣ Always on "Do not disturb"

This setting helps me use my phone purposefully instead of just reacting to the latest buzz.
